Kuromitsu 黒蜜 is a traditional sweetener used in Japanese confectionery and has been beloved for hundreds of years. It gets its name kuro 黒 (black) mitsu 蜜 (honey, nectar) from its dark color that also embodies its distinct flavor: a rich but gentle, complex mixture of molasses and hints of caramel.
